Friends, family, and colleagues often say, "Wow, you travel so much! How do you do it? Isn't traveling really expensive? How can you afford everything you do?" To which I always reply, "Anyone can do it. Really!"

This is how my blog was born. I was on a budget. I went to 8 countries on my UI/UX Designer's salary, which means I know how to travel with limited funds and what’s worth the splurge.

The Traveling Teacher helps you learn how to travel to exciting places without spending too much money. I didn’t visit six countries in one year on three trips just by hoping I’d find good deals. When I’m in my 27s, I have a little money, and I want to see as many places as I can without spending a lot—kind of like a balance between saving and having fun. I don’t want to stay in cheap hostels and eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches all the time, but I also don’t want to spend a fortune.
